Hunts contractors have been a key element in ensuring that we meet the challenges in completing on time and on budget and to our customers requirements.
Their civil engineering skill in all aspects: earthworks, drainage, surfacing and landscaping complements our building capabilities. Poltonhall Recreational Ground - Midlothian Council

“Hunts Contractors Ltd of Nursery House, Willingham Road, Marton DN215BQ were employed by us as main contractor on the Poltonhall Recreation Ground project and also completed all works at the King George V playing fields. The works were completed to a high standard, on time and on budget, we are very pleased with the results and would be pleased to recommend them.
The total value of both contracts was in excess of £900,000.00 and
comprised the construction of a full size synthetic 3G pitch plus training area 9139m2, floodlighting and fencing to same, construction of four natural turf pitches over 23300m2, associated paths and roads, car parking facilities, general hard and soft landscaping.
They were well staffed on site both from a management point of view and general labour, health and safety was a priority and liaison of all aspects of the contract was good. Their technical and design skills proved valuable in designing out costly parts of the work without affecting the end product.

West Park Rugby Club - Leeds RUFC Ltd

“Hunts Contractors Ltd of Nursery House, Willingham Road, Marton DN215BQ were employed by us as a main contractor to construct three new natural turf rugby pitches, along with major surface water drainage system for the whole complex; they also completed a 3G synthetic rugby pitch for us with floodlights and fencing. The works were completed to a high standard, on time and on budget, we are very pleased with the results and would be pleased to recommend them.
The total value of both contracts was in excess of £500,000.00. The
contract was well run, they had a very good understanding of all the technical implications of any design changes we suggested as work progressed and were able to engineer cost effective solutions without compromising the project. As part of a £5million self-funded site redevelopment, that includes a new clubhouse, it was important that standards were high and the club enjoyed good value throughout. These aims were easily met by Hunts Contractors.
Their approach to management of the contract and health and safety measures was well above average and left us with no cause for concern. In all it was very well run.
